A 3-pound bag of dry malt is about equivalent to 4 pounds of malt syrup. Dry Malt acts and tastes a little different from syrup. It is foamier in the boil, and seems to add a richer malt flavor than we get from syrup. Dry Malt is handy because it's easy to use only part of the container and save the rest. A bag of Dry Malt of any size counts as a can of malt toward the 10% SIX-CAN DISCOUNT. All our Dry Malt is unhopped and comes in 3-1b, bags untess marked otherwise. We published it in the Catalog, and our customers have made a lot of award-winning American Light Beers with variations of this recipe.
